Glad or Grumpy?

This morning, while having breakfast at a local “greasy spoon”, I overhead a conversation between a waitress and her customer. When asked about her weekend, she replied, “It’s not been too good, and I expect it to get worse”. I felt sorry for her. It sounded to me like she had already determined the outcome of her weekend!

Scripture reminds us, “This is the day the Lord has made. I will REJOICE and be GLAD in it.” Notice the words, I WILL. They indicate a choice. God made this day. He made this weekend. We have a choice to be grumpy, or to be glad. God desires that we rejoice!

When you get out of bed each day, your attitude can determine the course of your day. If you choose to be grumpy, your day will be a failure. If you choose to be glad, your day will be good regardless of the circumstances! Remember, true joy is housed deep in our hearts, and cannot be affected by our circumstances!

How is YOUR weekend going? Are you glad, or are you grumpy? The choice is yours! I choose to be glad! I love you!
