Treatment Update

I had another treatment this afternoon. As you know, my 12-week scan results revealed that the status of my cancer had not changed, so my doctor switched chemo drugs in hopes of shrinking the tumors. The new drug is Tarceva, and is an oral pill that I take daily. One of the primary side effects is a skin rash on the face that resembles chicken pox. I have tolerated the pill well, but in the past few days the skin rash has become severe. When I went for my scheduled treatment today, they were concerned about the rash and took me off the pill for a few days and prescribed a topical cream to ease the rash. I was able to take my treatment of Avastin today, and I will await word from my doctor as to when I can resume my Tarceva pills.

I am very fatigued tonight, but after a good night's rest I will bounce back tomorrow and plan to work at the office for a few hours. Have a great night. Thanks for your prayers. I love you!
