Esteemed Colleague
I was able to attend Business By The Book yesterday for the first time in 2005. BBTB is a luncheon for local business leaders hosted by First Baptist Church of North Augusta, and senior pastor, Gary Redding. The gathering features an awesome home-cooked meal, a news briefing by a local media personality, gospel music, and a relevant devotional by Dr. Redding. Yesterday I was honored to give the invocation and share a brief testimony. I appreciate Dr. Redding and his great church for partnering with me in prayer these past four months. Also in attendance were the staff from WAFJ Christian Radio. Brian, Cleve, John, Gary, and Jeremy have kept the listening audience posted on my condition, and have called the community to prayer many times on my behalf. I am blessed to live in such a compassionate community, and I appreciate my esteemed colleagues who partner with me in this area sharing the love of Christ!
Thanks for your prayers for my back pain this week. I learned from my doctor this week that the pain is "referred pain" from my tumors that manifest as painful hot spots in my back. Some new medication should help manage the pain on a daily basis, but I believe that your prayers will bring the biggest relief. I love you. Have a great weekend!

David said it all: I saw God before me for all time. Nothing can shake me; He's right by my side. I'm glad from the inside out, ecstatic; I've pitched my tent in the Land of Hope. I know You'll never dump me in Hades; I'll never even smell the stench of death. You've got my feet on the life-path, with Your face shining sun-joy all around.
