Chosen By God

I read this verse in the Old Testament this morning: "I have chosen him, so that he will direct his children." (Genesis 18:19) Of course, this verse was talking about God's call on Abraham, and how he would have many descendents. God chooses people He can depend on! He chooses you, and he has chosen me. He has a purpose for every life! Finding and fulfilling that purpose is the goal of Christian living. God has chosen me to be a Husband, and a Father, and a Grandfather. I am to give direction to them. He called me as a Pastor. I am to give spiritual direction to my congregation. And remember, whatever God calls us to do, he equips us with the gifts, talents, and resources to accomplish it. God has never called anyone to be a failure. He wants you to prosper, right now, right where you are planted!
