Mountain Solitude
One of the highlights of my trip this past week was a hike in the heavily wooded are surrounding our chalet. It had snowed just prior to our arrival and the trees were blanketed in white! Snow dampens sound and the only sound you hear is your own footsteps on the path. I took a walk early one morning to get alone with God. I found a fallen tree to sit on and sat in the peaceful solitude of silence in God's presence. I long for those moments when it is just me and my God. No distractions, no interruptions, just the silence of two friends sitting in the woods together! He was faithful to come and meet with me and we enjoyed wonderful fellowship. It was worth the trip!
Thanks for your prayers this weekend. I was very strong yesterday and God was present in our services. Have a good day. Pray for me as I pray for you. I love you!
David said it all: I saw God before me for all time. Nothing can shake me; He's right by my side. I'm glad from the inside out, ecstatic; I've pitched my tent in the Land of Hope. I know You'll never dump me in Hades; I'll never even smell the stench of death. You've got my feet on the life-path, with Your face shining sun-joy all around.
