Broken Shell

Yesterday, I was given a book from someone in my church. The book was "My Beautiful Broken Shell". This book expresses every emotion that I am feeling. It parallels a broken shell to me (us) with a broken heart. The book states, "this broken shell is people who are hurting.... people who have lost loved ones....people who are frightened and alone....people with unfulfilled dreams. Broken shells have lots of tears...lots of pain...lots of rough edges...lots of struggle, but they are so valuable for teaching us faith, courage and strength.

Broken shells have been tested and tried, hurt and yet they don't quit." Like the shells once perfect, which have been tossed and carried thru the waters and storms of life we do not face our storms alone. We have a Savior who carries us when our load becomes too heavy. Just like in the poem "Footprints in the Sand", "The Lord replied, my precious, precious child, I love you and I would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering was when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you."

I am thankful that as I face my todays and tomorrows that I have the peace and presence of the Savior in my heart. And right now he is carrying me in his arms.

What is your storm? Your burden? Your fears? Jesus has his arms spread wide open to carry you. All you have to do is call out his name. Call on Jesus to see you thru.

I Love you.
