VISION

The teenagers have been working through Dallas Willard's, Renovation of the Heart, on Wednesday nights. It's focus is becoming men and women of God. A great reminder is that it does not begin with our attempts to "clean up" our lives of "fix" our bad behavior. Being who God wants you to be is a heart issue. What is inside always comes out! It can only remain hidden so long.

Tonight saw first hand the importance of having good vision! We tried to perform some crazy tasks with limited or no vision at all. They were extremely difficult....in fact, it took a lot longer than I had planned. Nevertheless, it was a great reminder that we must see where we are going.

Where will your life go if you continue on the path you are traveling right now? Where will your current goals take you? Where will you be lead by your current group of friends? How will your current relationship with others affect your future? What about your current relationship with God? If we are going to arrive at the goal God desires for us then we must have clear focus on where He wants us to be. And where he wants us to be is right by His side. It's not about good behavior or church attendance. It is about living in an intmate relationship with God. Once you are there EVERYTHING else will fall into place. Examine your vision today. What is your focus? What are you goals? Where does God factor in?
