Jesus is Alive
This is an entry by Diane O'Banion in the choir devotional book.
The first time that I was listening to my {Easter} CD I was on my way to work. The first song that jumped out to me was “One Day w/ Jesus is Alive.” How our dear Savior was nailed to the tree, how He suffered anguish, and was despised and rejected. He did all of this for me—to bear all of my sins and to redeem me. How He gave HOPE to the hopeless. We all lived last year as a year of HOPE. The good news is that we all do have HOPE. Pastor Scott showed us that no matter what you are going through or no matter what the outcome, there is HOPE with Jesus.
Living He loved me — dying He saved me — buried He carried my sins far away — rising he justified me and one day He is coming back for me.
The curse of sin is broken and we have perfect liberty. He’s alive. Each song has a special place in my heart; but on that morning, that song was meant for me and it just came to life for me. By the time I got to school I was crying and praising the Lord.
My prayer is that other lives will be touched and changed completely as we present this musical—not for our glory, but for the glory of our Savior.

David said it all: I saw God before me for all time. Nothing can shake me; He's right by my side. I'm glad from the inside out, ecstatic; I've pitched my tent in the Land of Hope. I know You'll never dump me in Hades; I'll never even smell the stench of death. You've got my feet on the life-path, with Your face shining sun-joy all around.
