...pity without end...

...for the choir devo booklet; by Laura Cross...

“What language shall I borrow to thank Thee dearest Friend, for this Thy dying sorrow, Thy pity without end?”

Many times we think of language as being something spoken, and certainly that is true. Yet we also must take into consideration body language. What does our body language say? As worship leaders we know that people are watching us- taking their “worship cues” from us. However, if we focus too much on what other people are thinking, or what their body language is saying, our personal worship may be hindered.

One of the many things I learned from Pastor Scott was to be free with your worship – not to be inhibited. He taught by example.

We don’t all have the same style of worship. That’s what makes worship so personal. Me, I’m a crier. Sometimes it’s because I need to feel His “pity without end” wash over my discouraged soul. Sometimes it’s because I just can’t contain the overwhelming feeling of His love for even me. He knows what I need.

What language are you borrowing? Whatever your language, feel free to use it to the glory of God. Read Psalm 150
